Compliance Report Not Generating

Symptom

A compliance report is blank, shows "Generating..." indefinitely, or contains obviously wrong data.

Report Stuck on "Generating..."

Reports are generated asynchronously and usually complete in 30–60 seconds for standard projects.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Wait 2 minutes and refresh the page
2. If still stuck, check the Activity Log (project header → Activity) for errors
3. Try re-triggering the report: Reports → three-dot menu → Regenerate

Report is Blank or Has No Data

No workflows have run yet

Reports require at least one completed workflow run to have data to display.

Fix: Run your first workflow (Workflows → Run Now) and then generate the report.

Date range has no data

If the report's date range doesn't overlap with any workflow runs, it will be empty.

Fix: Adjust the report date range to include a period when workflows ran.

Report Shows Wrong Control Status

The report status may be cached from a previous run.

Fix:

1. Go to Workflows → Run Now to get fresh data
2. Wait for the workflow to complete
3. Regenerate the report

PDF Download is Corrupted

This usually happens when the browser cancels a slow download.

Fix:

• Try right-click → Save Link As on the download button
• Disable browser extensions that intercept downloads
• Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)

Report Shows Different Data Than Dashboard

The dashboard shows real-time data, while reports reflect data at the time the workflow ran.

This is expected behaviour — it ensures reports are reproducible. If you need the report to reflect the latest state, run the workflow again and regenerate.
