Everything you need to know about Nexxis — from how the review works to billing, security, and troubleshooting.

💡General

What Nexxis is, how it works, and who it's for

Nexxis is an AI-powered building consent documentation review tool built specifically for New Zealand building professionals. It reads your plans, specifications, and supporting documents, then checks them against relevant NZ Building Code clauses and acceptable solutions — surfacing gaps, inconsistencies, and missing information before you lodge your consent application.

Think of it as a thorough second set of eyes that never forgets a clause.
Nexxis is designed for architects, designers, building consultants, and project managers who prepare building consent documentation in New Zealand. If you lodge consent applications and want to reduce RFIs and delays, Nexxis is for you.
No — and it's important to understand this. Nexxis is a pre-submission screening tool, not a substitute for professional judgement. It surfaces documentation gaps and inconsistencies for your team to review and address. Final responsibility for consent documentation always remains with the practitioner.

Nexxis does not approve designs, interpret intent, or replace the council consent process. It is a consistency engine that helps you catch what's missing before someone else does.
Nexxis is designed for standard residential and light commercial building consent documentation in New Zealand. It checks against NZ Building Code clauses (Building Act 2004) and the relevant acceptable solutions. If you're unsure whether your project type is in scope, contact us before purchasing.
Nexxis extracts explicit information from your documents — it does not infer intent or fill gaps with assumptions. When required information isn't clearly stated, Nexxis notes the gap. Where information across documents doesn't align, Nexxis flags the conflict.

All findings include references to the source material so you can verify them directly. Nexxis is designed to be traceable and auditable, not to operate as a black box.
Nexxis accepts PDF documents, which is the standard format for building consent documentation. You can upload multiple files per project — plans, specifications, fire reports, geotech reports, and other supporting documents. Each file is processed individually and cross-referenced against the others.
Most reviews complete within 20–30 minutes. Complex projects with extensive documentation (large multi-document sets, mixed typologies) may take longer. You'll receive an email notification as soon as your report is ready — no need to sit and wait.
